Hematology is a branch of medicine that studies, diagnoses, treats, and prevents blood-related diseases and has close links with different disciplines of medicine and basic sciences, including immunology, medical genetics, and molecular genetics. Because precise cell counting speeds up the correct diagnosis, performing all cell counting with the best techniques and methods possible is necessary. This is particularly true of platelet counting and determination of RBC indices.
The Hematology section of The Hormone Lab and Infertility Centre carries out all the principles of quality control, the use of the latest and most accurate equipment, and the presence of experienced staff in a wide range of hematological experiments, serving the patients and doctors.
Important indicators of Hematology Section are:
- Equipped with the latest technology in the world and approved by the FDA for counting and detecting hematological parameters
- The ability to report more than 30 parameters in the form of CBC testing, along with peripheral blood smear examination by experienced staff
- Ability to evaluate and count cells in body fluids, including cerebrospinal fluid, by automatic systems
- Preparing the majority of section results daily and in emergency cases within 2 hours
- Employing experienced and have, at minimum, undergraduate degree Staff
- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
- Blood Film (PBF*)
- Platelet Count
- Eosinophils Count
- Bleeding time, Clotting time
- Hb Electrophoresis
Clinical Pathology Section:
In this section, we perform Urine, Stool, and Sperm samples. We detect all biochemical parameters in the urine and stool samples, including glucose, protein, bilirubin, ketone bodies, and urobilinogen. In addition, urine can also be tested in some cases, which are generally not present in the urine and may be due to systemic diseases and congenital immune deficiencies in the urine.
Internal and external quality control is performed on all parameters and elements decomposed in the urinalysis section, and weekly and monthly quality control. Another feature of this lab part is an experienced and experienced workforce. This section of the lab also reports microscopic urine elements, and if there are abnormal cellular elements in the urine of patients, urine cytology is recommended to physicians.
Sperm analysis tests are accepted daily at The Hormone Lab and Infertility Centre. However, Clients must be present at the laboratory from 12 pm to 1 pm. before sampling and accepting the conditions for this test, the expert in charge of this section will explain to clients. The reason for assigning the Semen test received by the laboratory is to minimize the errors involved in the test results and to examine each specimen immediately after receiving a standard and suitable condition.
- Urine R/M/E
- Ben- Jones Protein
- Urine for Ketone bodies
- Urine Bile Pigment
- Urine Bile Salt
- Pregnancy test
- Stool R/M/E
- Stool for Occult blood test (OBT)
- Stool for Reducing substance
- Stool for Bile Pigment
